It is with great pleasure that the Portuguese division announces the Azores Islands Hopping.
Event Details
Event Date: 22/05/2020
Event Time: 16:00z – 19:00z
Description: The event is based on flying in the Azores airspace making inter-island flights. Due to the high number of airports in Azores, the division does not ensure that all ATC positions will be opened. For this reason, the ATC service will be focused on the following airports:
- LPPD – Ponta Delgada
- LPAZ – Santa Maria
- LPLA – Lajes
- LPHR – Horta
If the number of people interested in controlling during the event justifies it, the division will consider providing the ATC service at the following airports:
- LPGR – Graciosa
- LPCR – Corvo
- LPSJ – São Jorge
- LPPI – Pico
Airports: All airports presented in the previous two lists.
Note: Some airports have few parking spots. There is the chance that an airport becomes crowded, it is up to each participant to analyze its situation and, when necessary (or when the ATC requests), to disconnect from the network to make room for other participants (after landing and parking).
